Jim Belushi and Jerry O’Connell as lovable goofballs Lawyering
out of Las Vegas? Not much of a stretch to see these two fast talking rogues in such a role, and you would be right. The buddy quotient  runs high in this show as the two leads Jangle and harangue each other with goodnatured badinage. No surprise then that the show has proved to be a hit for CBS, beating most of the prime time competition. Entertainment rather than realism is the main focus of the show and it does make good viewing seeing the dynamic duo swan around Vegas in designer suits and bling accoutrements—though how they manage to make the money to buy such things is rather more of a mystery, given the inordinate amount of hot-air they spout to each other and a series of no hope clients. The Defenders always come up good however, no matter what the odds, and you cannot argue with entertainment like that. The Defenders 10/9c
