Julianna Rocks (Don’t mention the dress)
As Crimezine predicted many months ago, the gorgeous and swoonfully unassuming Julianna Margulies of Good Wife fame, has taken the 2011 Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. This will be the second big trophy for Margulies this year, as she also scooped a Screen Actors Guild award, for her performance as super lawyer Alicia Florrick.
Crimeziners will not need to be reminded, that The Good Wife is a hot-blooded and sophisticated drama with more Machiavellian scheming than the court of Borgia. The scripts are smart and ferociously pacey which makes for compulsive viewing.
A sterling Crimezine shout out also goes to cast members Christine Baranski, Josh Charles, and Alan Cumming, not forgetting Matt Czuchry, and the gorgeous Archie Panjabi as Kalinda Sharma.
