Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman: Sherlock season 2

Crimeziners who enjoyed the teasingly brief three part series of BBC’s Sherlock will be pleased to hear that the modern take on the original Holmes stories is back.

Season 2 of Sherlock will air in early 2012 on the BBC and in May 2012 on PBS.  The three new 90-minute episodes starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman are: The Hounds Of Baskerville, A Scandal In Belgravia, and The Reichenbach Fall.

Crimeziners can see Benedict Cumberbatch in the big screen adaptation of  Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, from September 16 in the UK and December 9 in the US. In addition Cumberbatch & Freeman have also been working on Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. Crimezine hopes there haven’t been any blood curdling Holmsean mysteries in the Shire of late, But you can never tell with Hobbbitses can you my precious?
